Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 15, Issue 1,   Pages 118-126 doi: 10.1007/s11705-020-1916-y

Abstract: To enhance the solubility of polyanilines (PANI), polymeric ionic liquid (PIL) was introduced into the polymerization synthesis of PANI with various proportions. The structure and properties of the modified PANIs were characterized by H NMR, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, ultraviolet-visible spectrum, etc. It was found that the obtained PANIs doped with PILs were soluble in various organic solvents such as , -dimethyl formamide and acetonitrile. Compared with the pure PANI, the PANIs doped by PILs showed remarkable solubility and their chemical structure and conductivity kept integrated.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 3,   Pages 312-317 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000110

Abstract: Developing new saturable absorbers for use in the mid-infrared region has practical significance for short-pulsed lasers and related scientific and industrial applications. The performance of (GNRs) as saturable absorbers at novel mid-infrared wavelengths needs to be evaluated even though these benefit from ultrafast nonlinear responses and broadband saturable absorption. of an LD-pumped Tm:YLF laser using GNRs was successfully realized in this study. Pulses with an 843 ns pulse width and a 6.67 kHz repetition rate were achieved using this Q-switched laser. Results showed that GNRs provide promising passive Q-switches for Tm-doped lasers.

g-CN-coated MnO hollow nanorod cathode for stable aqueous Zn-ion batteries

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2023, Volume 17, Issue 2,   Pages 217-225 doi: 10.1007/s11705-022-2214-7

Abstract: Aqueous zinc-ion batteries are attracting considerable attention because of their high safety compared with conventional lithium-ion batteries. Manganese-based materials have been widely developed for zinc-ion batteries cathode owning to their low cost, high security and simple preparation. However, the severe volume expansion and poor stability during charging and discharging limit the further development of manganese-based cathodes. Herein, superior α-MnO2@g-C3N4 was successfully prepared for stable zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) cathode by introducing g-C3N4 nanosheets. Compared with pure α-MnO2, α-MnO2@g-C3N4 has a specific capacity of 298 mAh·g–1 at 0.1 A·g–1. Even at 1 A·g–1, the α-MnO2@g-C3N4 still retains 100 mAh·g–1 (83.4% retention after 5000 cycles), implying its excellent cycling stability. The α-MnO2@g-C3N4-based cathode has the highest energy density (563 Wh·kg–1) and power energy density (2170 W·kg–1). This work provides new avenues for the development of a wider range of cathode materials for ZIBs.
